“2012 IS THE SEASON FOR TREASON: An Assault on Establishment Culture in Germany” by the OKK Team Chus Martinez, Francisco José Avestruz & Otto Karl Kamal 
Extending the assault on capitalist society through a radical take on Berlin Biennale 7, dOCUMENTA (13) and similar propaganda tools, the OKK Team will present their analysis of and strategies for countering these bourgeois gentrification festivals and their “activist” participants who are often sporting either extreme naivety or some “brown” (i.e. fascist) ideology.

Talks start at 6PM, which will be followed by a party.

This year’s Contexture, taking place in Fish Factory Art Space in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK, is the last one of the sort: Contexture is a title of Contemporary Fine Art and (Performance) Writing combined degree show / end of year festival. The mentioned courses are not continued in a way they were started in Dartington College of Arts (Devon, UK) and brought to University College Falmouth after their merge in 2010.

Since I am (hopefully) graduating from UCF in Ba Contemporary Fine Art with Digital Practices this June, my work is featured in the Fish Factory Art space among my peers. Documentation of these developments is under way.

Major art event in the German capital Berlin Biennale 7 (25.04-01.07.2012) features a number of highly controversial elements in both its concept and selected curatorship. In 2012 THE SEASON FOR TREASON, the ideology of biennalization as well as its blind spots are addressed by various collectives and presented in the project room/gallery Organ Kritischer Kunst, Berlin, in the form of talks, performances and exhibition.

The 2012 THE SEASON FOR TREASON program in Organ Kritischer Kunst, which has featured 8 international collectives, is over. Nevertheless, elements of our activities and our research into the dubious Berlin Biennale 7 left/right synthesis on the fascist terms will be featured in POT, Kassel, Germany. For five days between 16th and 21 July, 2012 THE SEASON FOR TREASON team will be present in the POT residencies program which is putting documents 13 under scrutiny. Parallel to the showcase of some of the Berlin exhibition items we will discuss the outcomes of our Berlin research. 

I have participated in creating the concept for “2012” show, curating the event, have exhibited work myself and held a presentation entitled “Art as Social Glue”. Full documentation of these activities will be featured under “Art as Social Glue” category in this blog shortly.

I have shown unconditional support to their fight against the psychic colonisation that comes with the ideology of art. I completely agree with the operatives of POLARIS Ltd that bourgeois eurocentrist culture should be attacked if we were to get rid of alienation. This led me into curating their display in Organ Kritischer Kunst, Berlin, the show entitled 2012 IS THE SEASON FOR TREASON.
